MYM

- Behind The Songs -
Body: You said this kind of thing might interest you, so here's the abbreviated scoop on each song. Yeeehaaaw!

Taking It Out On Me -
A guy "riding the fence". He doesn't want it to end, even though he knows it's bad. He blames himself for not being upfront with the girl-on-the-side. Crazy dude.

I'm Leaving You -
A person resolving to get out of their unhealthy relationship and start anew, and yet scared of having nothing.

Many -
Someone reasoning with themselves over their promiscuity, and eventually giving in to a devil-may-care attitude.

Stuck -
Me, beating myself up. At certain points in life, it's frustrating if you don't feel you're moving forward, as a person.

Another Human -
A highly sexually-charged situation, where the individual feels unworthy of real love. He's on auto-pilot, as it unfolds. He's amazed, and yet cynical, but there's a fleeting feeling of escape in it for him. It's sort of written from a vampire-ish perspective.

Hole In The Diary -
Someone's past relationship that they never seem to be completely free from, due to constant reminders everywhere. Kind of like "The Tell-Tale Heart", by Edgar Allen Poe . . . only without a dead body. Haha!

Yeah Yeah Yeah -
What everyone says, when they're tired of listening to somebody's nonsense.

Caving In -
Two people sucking. A full karma swing-a-round, complete with mutual finger-pointing. Haha! The guy thought he was running things. He'll learn. Touche'

It's Too Late -
A guy feeling like he blew the chance of a lifetime with a certain girl, and is beating himself up over it.

Let Him Down -
You already know this story.

Get My Head Right -
I wrote this for the people we all know, who get high everyday. It's like they're taking a One-A-Day vitamin, and they believe they function better that way. For the record, I only get high every great once in a while.

It's Over -
A relationship falling apart. One person is still trying to make it work, and is frustrated at the other one's lack of commitment. Complete with a last-resort spilling of info, to get it all out on the table, that drives the final nail in the coffin.

The Way -
A fun little sing-a-long. Haha!
Utter discouragement and desperation. A haunting conversation with one's conscience, as the person watches their life sliding downhill. This song actually creeped me out when I was writing/recording the original demo by myself. I like it, although I wish Dale R. would've sang the final version. Mario did a fine job, though.
